April 30th is/was 31 Cent Scoop Night at Baskin Robbins. We didn’t event try to buy 13 flavors, but we could have for only about $4.36! There was a limit of 10 scoops per person. And there were about 80 people outside the shop waiting to get inside!

2. Very Berry Strawberry
3. Chocolate
4. Chocolate Chip
5. Pralines & Cream
6. Cookie Dough
7. Rocky Road
8. Peanut Butter ‘n Chocolate
9. Pistachio Almond
10. Gold Medal Ribbon
11. Nutty Coconut
12. Chocolate Fudge

  1. I think I’d consider doing bodily harm to get some of that Chocolate and Peanut Butter ice cream, right about now… Honest!

Gelato is great, but it only takes you so far….

    Happy TT!

  2. Mint chocolate chip is one of my all time favorites – but I’ll really take anything with chocolate in it – hope you enjoyed it 🙂

  3. Oh, man. There’s no B&R near us anymore. That’s some sad stuff.

There’s some sort of promotion for Mother’s Day, so if the weather isn’t great, we’re going to go for pizza and then to B&R afterward. Fortunately, the city’s best pizza and B&R are in walking distance.

    Unless that B&R went away,too.

  4. Okay, when I was 16, I worked at a B/R. To let you know just how long ago that was, the price for a single scoop was only 29 cents. 🙂 But boy, do I remember Sunday nights when the line would be sooooo long. Some people were really nice, others got snotty.

I haven’t had B/R in a long time, but I really liked mint chocolate chip. And I also liked putting daiquiri sherbet plus strawberries and some seltzer water in the blender to make strawberry daiquiris. Then when I got off work, I added the rum. 🙂

  5. I took the kids to BR last night (I was a good girl and stayed in the car where I’d avoid temptation.) After about an hour on line, the girl got pistachio, the boy mint chocolate chip. They were down to about six flavors total! And it wasn’t even eight oclock yet!

  6. We waited in line last night, around 9:40. They closed the line about two behind us. A young Korean mom with the young kids showed up, they told her the line was closed. Her kids were so disappointed, my daughter and I looked at one another and gave them our spot. She came home and ate Breyers with chocolate crunchies, which is so much better, anyway. I stopped at Starbucks for mochas for dh and I. It worked out. They said some people were buying 30 and 40 scoops at a time, and they were almost out of ice cream. Insane. It’s only ice cream!

    My TT is up, too.

  7. Mmmm…. My favorite is a scoop of Reeses PB cup, and a scoop of Rainbow Sherbet. I’ve never seen a line of people at the 31 flavors though. =(

    Happy Friday, Kaige!

  8. Oh good grief, no! We took one look at the line and didn’t even turn into that part of the parking lot saying, “Hmmm, DQ? Coldstone?”

    DQ was closer. 🙂
