13 Things I don’t have time for today…
1. Finishing the short story I’m working on. I’m about halfway there and man, it’s kicking my butt every sentence.
2. Doing laundry.
3. Cleaning out all the junk mail in my inbox.
4. Cleaning out all the non-junk mail from mailing lists I’m normally interested in, but don’t care about today.
5. Emptying the dishwasher. Ok. I probably could have done that instead of this, but this is more fun.
6. Stopping off to buy a Lottery ticket… oh wait. I don’t play anyway. No wonder I never win.
7. Properly keeping up with all the posts on Romance Divas.
8. Taking the kids to martial arts class — we usually go at least two days out of MWF, but we went last night instead.
9. Feeding the fish until we get home later tonight and hopefully before their light goes off.
10. Whipping the kids into submission so they do their homework. Or is that patience? *sigh*
11. Cooking a homecooked meal before Back-to-School Night. The question is, who’s feeding us.
12. Coming up with 13 things for a Thursday Thirteen list…

Oh boy it is that time of year again Isay drop SOMEthing that can be dropped and enjoy ——school is all over for mine and my nest is very empty and it seemed just like yesterday we were in the first day of Kindergarten
HAH! You’re pretty funny when you have no time to do a T13 post, you know that?
(I’m going to emulate, aka COPY, this T13 post, methinks.)
And…it’s really weird that school started TODAY. Why TODAY? Why not yesterday or next Monday?
I had to drop everything to finish my Pink Chair Diaries trilogy. No blogging. No reading blogs. No TV. No going places. I just planted my ass and wrote. It helped that first Nick spoke to me, and then Drake. Nick talked to the tune of 7100 words. Drake wasn’t so wordy. 6500 words only. Nick on Saturday. Drake on Sunday. Edits and polishes and a Lex post on Monday… a 15K 3 day weekend but the end result is worth it. I came up for air and guess what? My life was still there. The kid, the job, the cats, the laundry, the dishes… Meh. It was still worth it cause I’m done with that project and on to the next now!
Carve out some time for your story. The dishes won’t get mad if you immerse yourself in your characters. 🙂
Back to School night is always crazy. And Laundry? bah! LOL.
Back to school is such a crazy time! I can’t seem to get anything done this week. I have at least 3 reviews I need to get out today. But I am playing TT instead.
