  1. I’m a horror novel junkie.

Stephen King and Dean Koontz are my favorites. I also like John Saul, Richard Laymon and Robert McCammon.

  2. I in phases. If I come across a great romantic suspense, then all I want to read for a while is more of the same. I want to hold on to the high and all…

That said, my all-time favorite book is a historical romance by Tom and Sharon Curtis called THE WINDFLOWER. It is such a shame that Tom and Sharon don’t write anymore.

  3. I READ in phases, I meant to write, heh, heh.

(Hah! Ohmigod. Your comment box just told me I was making comments too fast and to slow down. Geeze, that’s a good one.)

  4. I think horror has always been used as a back drop for important issues, from psychology to comnsumerism. The shocks are the added bonus. As to my favourites, by far the best was Poe. Modern times, you can’t beat King.

  5. I almost did a poll too…something about the new shiny addition that made it tempting to try out. LOL.

  6. Doh! I knew I was forgetting one of the major ones there, Tempest! Personally, I think it’s great that there are so many divisions and types available out there so everyone can find something they like.

  7. wow, Andi–I love Cat, too.

They should have done more with him.

My shelves floweth over not with romance–but urban fantasy, but I think it was a phaze, or maybe I just got burned out on the sex. When did it become such a “big” part of the field? The last thing I picked up starred a gay (no offense to gay people, but I’d like to know beforehand) detective and was more on the relationship and sex than demon fighting.

so…it’s sci-fi. My all time favorite is Shards of Honor. I am so totally in love with Aral Vorkosigan.

  8. I chose “romantic suspense,” but it was really, really hard for me to choose! I like almost every genre if the story is compelling, the writing is good and the characters are believable and engaging. Let’s face it…I’m a reading addict!
